Anmol TV Enters Original Fiction with ‘Humari Radha’, Starring Simran Kaur, Akshay Mhatre and Vaidehi Nair

The new drama explores changing marital dynamics, betrayal and a woman’s journey towards self-discovery and strength

Uttar Pradesh: Anmol TV, the free-to-air (FTA) Hindi general entertainment channel from Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), has entered the original fiction space with ‘Humari Radha’, introducing a new story-driven offering for its viewers.

Starring Simran Kaur as Radha Girdhar Maurya, Akshay Mhatre as Girdhar Maurya and Vaidehi Nair as Shanaya Srivastava, the show explores marriage, relationships and changing aspirations through the emotional journey of a woman who is forced to confront betrayal and rebuild her sense of self. Humari Radha airs daily at 9:30 PM on Anmol TV.

The story follows Radha, a deeply rooted woman from Kishanpur in Uttar Pradesh, who moves to Mumbai with her husband, Girdhar. While Radha remains closely connected to her values and traditional outlook, Girdhar’s ambitions and changing worldview gradually create a distance between them.

As Girdhar becomes increasingly drawn towards his ambitious and modern colleague Shanaya, Radha’s seemingly settled life begins to fall apart. The resulting conflict brings together three contrasting perspectives on love, marriage, ambition and personal choices.

Set against the backdrop of tradition and modernity, the show traces Radha’s transformation as she confronts the reality of her marriage, finds the courage to face difficult circumstances and rediscovers her inner strength.

Speaking about the show, Mangesh Kulkarni, Chief Channel Officer, Zee TV and FTA, said that Humari Radha offers an opportunity to explore marriage, relationships and the choices that shape them through a strong and rooted protagonist.

He described the show as an important milestone for Anmol TV as its first original fiction offering and said the channel aims to develop a slate of fresh stories for FTA audiences while remaining connected to their realities, values and aspirations.

For Simran Kaur, playing Radha has been a particularly meaningful experience. She described her character as simple, warm and deeply rooted in her values, while highlighting the strength Radha discovers when her life takes an unexpected turn.

“Radha believes deeply in her relationships, yet she also learns to stand up for herself when her marriage is tested,” Kaur said, adding that the character has several layers to explore.

Akshay Mhatre, who plays Girdhar Maurya, described his character as an ambitious man seeking a better life whose choices gradually create situations he never anticipated. He said the conflict between Girdhar’s aspirations and responsibilities makes the character particularly interesting.

Vaidehi Nair, who portrays Shanaya Srivastava, described her character as confident, modern and ambitious, with a clear understanding of what she wants. According to Nair, Shanaya enters Radha and Girdhar’s world with a contrasting perspective, altering the dynamics of their relationship.

With its focus on changing relationships, personal choices and the evolving meaning of marriage, Humari Radha marks Anmol TV’s entry into original fiction with a story centred on resilience and self-discovery.
